Ahoy Sailor!

Long time, no sea!  Sorry, I couldn't resist starting with a pun, but I promise I'll try to keep them to a minimum!  It really has been a long time since I've published a post though!  Life has been busy, I've been unwell and just when I was about to publish a post the other night, the power went out for 7 hours!  Grr!

Anyway, I'm here now.  Better late than never, right?!  I apologise for not visiting your blogs or replying to comments.  I promise I will catch up soon!

I decided to call this post Ahoy Sailor, as I recently welcomed another pair of shoes to my collection called Sailor!  I'd had my eye on these shoes for quite sometime and when I saw they had finally gone on sale, I couldn't resist!  Like all HCD shoes, they are fun and quirky and extremely comfortable.  I really can walk all day in them, which is no mean feat (feet!) with my old flat feet, that's for sure! ;)

Outfit 1:
Tank Top: Rockmans
Crochet Cardi: Katies
Skirt: Katies

This was the first time to wear my new shoes, so I built the outfit around them, sticking with shades of blue and white.  This was also my first wear of the pretty necklace Mum gave me recently.  You know how much I love beads, so this was a lovely addition to my necklace collection!  Thanks Mum! ;)

Necklace: recent present from Mum

Ring & Bracelet: Diva
Bag: Cabrelli

This bag is also new, bought on sale for $20.  I was missing a bag in these colours, so this one fit the bill nicely!  Speaking of fit, this bag is deceptively big and holds all of my stuff, including a water bottle, which is a necessity in the still ongoing heat!  Blah!  When will autumn arrive?  I'm sooo over summer!

Outfit 2:
Top: Rockmans
Cardi: Autograph
Skirt: Millers

This outfit also features a new skirt, worn for the first time.  I love the colours and of course it's paisley, which is my favourite print!

Necklace: Rockmans

Earrings: Mombasa Rose

Ring: Lovisa
Bag: Rockmans

Shoes: Sailor Chocolaticas by HCD

The last outfit doesn't feature my new Sailor shoes, but I figured the outfit has nautical colours, so it fit in nicely with the other outfits!

Outfit 3:
Dress & Cardi: Autograph

Necklace: thrifted

Ring: Diva
Bag: Rockmans

Shoes: Cherry Chocolaticas by HCD

Which outfit do you like the best?  Let me know!  I'd love to hear from you!

Thank you for visiting my blog! XXX

  2. I really like the 3 outfits and, as usual, cannot decide on a favourite. Your new shoes are so cute. I had a chuckle at your breezy bloopers which show you are enjoying blogging.

  3. Such cute shoes - I love the outfits you created with them, especially that second one! The third one matches the colours well too even if they are different shoes you are wearing :)

Love the bloopers! it has been that kind of weather hasn't it? So hot but windy and breezy at times too! Sorry your power cut! We have had it flicker in and our a few times, mainly Saturday night, but no major outages yet. More storms to look forward to this week! And then hopefully some autumn weather, like you too I'm a bit over summer!

Thanks for linking up with #weekdaywearLinkup!

  5. Sorry to hear you were unwell, Sasha. And then having a seven-hour power cut on top! Glad to see that all these pesky things didn't have you defeated and that you're showing us some jaunty sailor-esque outfits. The new shoes are divine, and just calling for a nautical look. My favourite is outfit # 1, I love your crochet cardie and your Mum's necklace. You are obviously sharing a love of fabulous accessories! I'm a big fan of your new maxi skirt, with its gorgeous Paisley print as well. And I loved seeing your breezy bloopers ;-) xxx

  6. Hahaha that is too funny. But not the power going out, how frustrating. I hate when you have time allotted to a task and then something keeps you from doing it. Glad you are feeling better. The shoes are so fan as are the cat earrings. Love those!
