My fave outfits of 2017 & Happy New Year!

Can you believe 2017 is about to come to an end?  I absolutely cannot wrap my head around it!  2017 has had it's ups and downs, but ultimately I am extremely grateful for all that I have and that at this point in time, all of my loved ones are safe and in good health.
One thing that was completely new for me this year, was the world of blogging!  I only started looking at fashion blogs in around May/June this year and soon started to wonder about whether I could start my own blog!  At first I thought, no! I can't do it!  I don't know much about computers, I'm not thin, I'm not into the latest trends, I don't even own a proper camera!
Then I thought about the title of one of my fave albums of all time by The Cranberries called, Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can't We?

With this sentiment in mind, I decided I would become a blogger!  I realised that setting up a blog account was surprisingly easy and that I can use the camera on my phone to take phot…

Welcome to my brooch collection 2017!

My Erstwilder Brooch Collection
I only discovered brooches this year!  I have always loved accessories of every size, shape and colour, but for some reason had never considered brooches!  Earlier this year I was looking online for quirky and unique accessories and stumbled upon Erstwilder's website.  It was love at first sight! The designs and colours of these brooches are just fabulous! (This is not a sponsored post: I just love them!😉)
The first ever brooch I bought was the one below, which is part of Erstwilder's Nihon Journey collection.  I love it because it of course closely resembles Mt Fuji, which is one of my favourite places to visit in Japan. This brooch would become the first of many!

My new pink button necklace!

We're back!
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas.  In the next few posts I'll be featuring some of the new accessories I received as Christmas presents.
One of the most unusual new additions to my accessory collection is this cool and funky pink button necklace.  Mum bought it for me at a craft market that she volunteered at.  I love it! It's the first button necklace in my accessory collection and  I have a feeling it won't be the last!  I so admire whoever made this necklace: it's so cute and quirky!

I just love handmade jewellery and admire the talented artisans who craft these unique items!  I wish I was good at crafts and making things, but my skill only extends to buying (and receiving) these gorgeous creations!
Are you good at making things? Do you make your own jewellery or clothing?  Let me know! I'd love to hear from you!
