Venturing out with Frida Kahlo!

Frida Kahlo Tote Bag by Studio Strand

I ventured out for the first time post-surgery today for a short time.  I am still quite sore and can't drive yet, so my first trip out was to the local library with my family.  Not a particularly exciting destination but I was happy to be out of the house!

I decided that my Frida Kahlo tote bag was perfect as a library bag.  Frida Kahlo is one of my favourite artists of all time.  Her art and personal style is still relevant and inspiring. Mum bought me this tote bag when she was in New York City last year.  I love it so much!

My outfit:
Dress: Crossroads
Crochet cardi: Crossroads
Shoes: Chocolaticas

My accessories:
Necklace: Eden Grace
Bangle: Sportsgirl
Ring: Goldmark

Speaking of Frida Kahlo, mum found these awesome cosmetics when she was in Hawaii! They all have Frida's artwork on them and the colours are beautiful.  Thanks mum!😉

  1. I, too, love Frida Kahlo as I think she was way ahead of her time in the fashion stakes. She was certainly a fascinating woman. That bag is gorgeous and I think matches with your outfit to be a full "Frida" expression. I must tell my Mum to buy these things for me when she visits these places!!!

I'm glad you're feeling better and up to getting out even if it is just a walk to the library - it's nice to get out the house for a change! :)

Hope you are having a great start to the week and all your Christmas preparation is going well! I'm hoping to wrap some more presents today!
