Black top, birds and a fox!

Here's a sneak peak!

It's now been three weeks since my hernia surgery!  Last week I was getting back to my normal routine but maybe I pushed myself a bit too hard because in the last few days my stomach has swollen up like a fugu (Japanese blowfish)!!  My surgeon said that it's to be expected, but honestly I look and feel like I am expecting!😂😂

Anyway, what that means in terms of outfits, is that I plan to wear black tops until I deflate, in an attempt to at least visually reduce the swelling!😉 

I thought a black top would be the perfect backdrop to showcase my new brooch!  Isn't he adorable?!  A fox wearing glasses!  And he's called Oscar Wildenfox!  What more could you want in a brooch?!

    So sorry to hear about your swollen stomach. I do understand about pushing yourself too hard. I'd probably be the same. That said: what an utterly lovely brooch. I don't own any Erstwilder brooches, but I keep hearing good things about them, so maybe, as a brooch collector, I should check them out. Your shoes are very pretty too! xxx

Colourful Crop Cardis & Midi Skirts

Our internet is in and out at the moment, so while it's in , I'm going to go for it! The outfits I'm sharing with you today are quite different on the surface, as the colour schemes are dramatically different!  The first one has lots of autumnal colours and a bit of a 1970s vibe and the second one features more summery colours with a slight nautical vibe!  When I wore these outfits recently, I never thought they were similar at all, until I was going through my blog photos and realised both outfits were made up of colourful tees, cropped cardis and midi skirts!  So in that realisation, this post was born! My favourite outfit is the first one, because I haven't worn those colours much before and I was happy pairing these items together for the first time!  I like the second outfit as well, but I do wear blue and red together quite often.  Actually, it might be a good outfit for Australia Day, which is coming up soon! Burgundy & Beads!

Can you believe it is almost the end of February?  I am still getting used to it being 2019, and the second month is already almost over!  This is my last week to get everything sorted out before my postgraduate studies resume again next week.  I haven't even ordered my textbooks yet!  I really need to get organised!   In the outfit I'm sharing today, I'm wearing one of my fave maxi skirts that I've had for many, many years!  I've worn it with many different coloured tops over the years, but this was the first time wearing my new burgundy coloured top.  I love the burgundy and wine colours that are around at the moment.  They're so pretty!
