Hello Autumn!

Well, although it is technically autumn here now, it sure doesn't feel like it!  This week has been another hot and humid one and it just feels like it is never going to cool down!  Even though I have been sweltering, sartorially I've been desperate to start wearing autumn clothes like cardigans, jeans and long sleeves!  Although it is still too hot to wear the aforementioned, it's never too early to wear autumnal colours!  Maybe wearing such colours will encourage autumn to hurry up and make an appearance!  Worth a try, right?

Outfit 1:
Top: Katies
Skirt: Tasa Jara
Sandals: Gino Ventori

I bought this ombre orange skirt last year on a mini getaway to Byron Bay and it has become a firm favourite of mine.  The store I bought it at only has a few sizes of each design, so you are pretty much guaranteed to not see anyone else wearing the same thing!  Always a plus, I'm sure you'll agree! ;)

I knew that my recently thrifted bag would be perfect to keep the autumn vibe going and of course, my groovy chunky bangle that I thrifted last year!

Ring: Diva
Bangle & Bag: thrifted

Outfit 2:
Top: H&M
Kimono: bought at Bangalow markets
Skirt: Millers
Sandals: Gino Ventori

This outfit began with just the burgundy top with the skirt, which matched well and the outfit was fine.  I felt that I wanted to add more colour into the mix and have a bit of a play around with print mixing!  The original outfit was much safer, but I felt like wearing something a bit more unusual.  It was a bit of a mishmash, but it was fun to wear, which is the whole point of creating new outfits, in my humble opinion! ;)

Necklace: Equip

I couldn't resist wearing the bangle and bag again, but this time wore my daisy ring instead!

Ring: Lovisa
Bangle & Bag: thrifted

We all know that Amber always wins this competition!  I can't compete with her kitty cuteness! ;)

  1. Of course, as usual, I like both outfits but am finally going to make a decision & say I like the first outfit a tiny bit more. I do like your accessories which lift every outfit. The necklace competition is very close & Amber has the colouring match so...yep she's the winner. Flossie xxx

  2. Isn't it mind boggling that you're welcoming Autumn while we're welcoming Spring? But just as I'm always longing for my Spring clothes at the end of Winter, I can so look forward to wearing my Autumn stuff at the end of Summer. So I totally understand, especially as I love Autumn. I'm loving your Autumnal hued first outfit and that bangle is just fabulous! But I'm absolutely drooling over the necklace you're wearing with your second outfit on which, by the way, I applaud you on your print mixing. But I really can't decide who's wearing the necklace best :-) Have a wonderful weekend, Sasha! xxx

    1. Thanks so much, Ann! It is mind boggling, isn't it? It's so cool to be able to see your spring style in autumn! ;) I'm slowly getting more adventurous with my print mixing! I'm usually the queen of matchy matchy so it's not easy for me! Luckily I have you for inspiration! ;) XXX

  3. I am loving the mix of prints in your last outfit! The colours in these are so autumnal. That's about all we can do at the moment with the humidity, haha! At least the storms are a nice change - I hope you haven't had any more power cuts! I like the little bit of coolness that hangs around for a bit after they blow through. Hopefully we get some cooler weather soon!

Hope you have a great weekend ahead of you :)

That ombre orange maxi skirt is so pretty. I like the second outfit as well. Nice combinations of colours.
