Colour Combo: Pink & Black
Another day, another fun colour combo to try! It's not that I haven't worn pink and black before, but it has been a long time! I think pink and black go so well together because the black is a little edgy and the pink is a little sweet and together they are a perfect match! It was about a year ago that I last wore this colour combo and at that time I was inspired by my brand new Candy Skull Chocolaticas (see below)! A year later and I am still in love with these fun and quirky shoes and can't resist wearing pink and black when I wear them!
In the first outfit I chose to wear a few different shades of pink with black and added some fun pink accessories. It had been ages since I'd worn this pretty cherry blossom brooch, so I knew this outfit was the perfect opportunity! I also wore my new tassel earrings and chunky pink ring that I've had for over ten years!
Outfit 1:
Top: Sussan
Cardi: Millers
Skirt: Rockmans
Cheery Cherry Blossom Brooch by Erstwilder
Earrings: Lovisa
Ring: Diva
Bag: Strandbags
Shoes: Candy Skull Chocolaticas by HCD
In the second outfit I stuck with a solid black top and cardi and paired it with a black and white space dye skirt. I added my black and silver ballet flats for something different, to give my candy skull shoes a rest! ;) I accessorised with this fun hot pink skull scarf that I've had for at least 10 years and my fabulous flamingo brooch!
Outfit 2:
Top: Sussan
Cardi: Millers
Skirt: Millers
Shoes: Rivers
Flamboyant Flamingo Funk Brooch by Erstwilder
Scarf: Groove
Ring: Diva
Bangle: present from Mum
Bag: Trent Nathan
I sometimes feel like a flight attendant when I wear scarves, so I started joking around with hubby about it! So much silliness ensued! ;)
As my favourite colour is all shades of pink, it was a definite that I would like both outfits. However, I do like no.1 just ahead of no.2. Of course Amber looks cute in all colours. Flossie xxx

DeleteI do love a bit of pink, but preferably in moderation and combined with a more edgy colour, like you did with black here. Now, that's a more grown-up but still playful way to wear girly pink, isn't it? I can't choose between your two outfits, as they're both gorgeous. I love the skirt of your first outfit and the wonderful cherry blossom brooch. But then I also love your second skirt, and that awesome flamingo brooch. I also love the addition of the bright pink scarf, and the way you have knotted it is genius! xxx

DeleteLove the pink skulls scarf in the second outfit, a fun touch with the black! Pink and black is a combination I don't wear all that frequently although like you I find I love it when I do! :) Both outfits look so good on you! :)
ReplyDeleteHope that you had a wonderful weekend :) it was a quiet one here as I'm starting to get sick :(

Thanks so much, Mica! Hope you're feeling better! XXX
DeleteOh I have always loved pink and black together. And I like in the first look how you used different shades of pink. And the second look is the opposite--all black with one hot pop of pink. And of course Miss Amber looks great as usual.
