Styling My New Statement Brooches!

Hi Blog Friends!  Hope you're all well.  Once again I am totally behind in publishing this blog post and commenting on your blog posts too!  I hope you'll forgive me!  I have been so busy lately with my postgraduate studies.  It seems my hard work the last few months has paid off though, as I just got my results from trimester 2 and I got four High Distinctions!  Yay!  It's such a great feeling to have some positive results for all my hard work, especially as other parts of my life have been challenging lately.

Now, to the brooches!  My love of brooches is still as strong as ever, although I don't wear them often.  I have a drawer full of my brooches that I often look at for inspiration and joy!  I really should wear them more often, but most days I'm at home, so I can't really just wear them around the house, or can I??  What do you think?  I'd really love your opinion!  Do you save special accessories for special occasions or do you wear special accessories even at home, to make yourself feel happy?

Outfit 1:
Top: Rockmans
Cardi: present from Mum
Skirt: Tasa Jara
Shoes: Rivers

I love the colours in this brooch!  The purple shimmers and shines in the light with a pearly effect.  It looks so striking against the mint/green colour.  It was fun to wear this multi-patterned skirt again too.  I love the mix of different colours and patterns.

Mum bought me this paisley print brooch from Scotland.  I love all things paisley, so this was an instant favourite!

I love this thrifted metallic bag so much!  It was such a great buy and I get so much use out of it!

Lady Andalusia Brooch by Erstwilder
Isn't she lovely?  I couldn't resist buying her! I travelled around Spain by myself in my mid-twenties, so she reminds me of the adventures I had many, many years ago!

Ring: bought at markets
Bag: Cadelle Leather

  1. Firstly, congrats on your Uni results. Well done Sasha. Now the outfits, hmm. I like them all but once again I need to be more decisive, so have chosen no.1. You certainly have a lovely array of brooches. I guess when you are at home, place them out so you can look at them as they are certainly uplifting. Of course Amber's one is the loveliest or is it just Amber that is the lovliest? Flossie xxx

  2. Congrats on the high distinctions! Well done! :) I'm glad you're keeping up with studying even if everything else is tough - don't sweat blogging too much, I smile when I get your comments but I completely understand if you don't comment regularly! Life gets in the way sometimes! You never have to apologise!

You have such a wonderful collection of brooches, but it's the fun purple bag I'm admiring the most, ha! Such a bag person ;)

Hope that you had a great weekend :)

  3. First of all, congratulations on your High Distinctions, Sasha! Of course, I totally understand that your studies have been your priority and that blogging and commenting had to take a back seat. Don't worry about it too much! I'm loving the three brooches you're showcasing here. Although I'm wearing at least one brooch every day, there are some of my collection I hardly ever wear. My favourite of your outfit is the first one, which instantly appealed to me. What a gorgeous skirt you're wearing! As a fellow lover of Paisley, that brooch wouldn't look amiss in my collection. But my favourite of your three brooches is Lady Andalusia! She is quite simply magnificent! xxx

  5. Ah so fun! Love it. There is a woman who is always on TV in the States she was a lawyer during the Nixon administration and she always wears cool brooches. When she is on I like to notice what one she is wearing.
