Boho Maxi Skirts

It's funny how in many ways time changes so much.  Time can change our appearance, our careers, our friendships and our style.  What is also funny, is that sometimes time does not change a single thing!  Some things remain true and strong, no matter how much time has passed.  Although I have lived through many changes in my life, there are certain tangible aspects of my personal style that have stood the test of time.  

When I was shopping the other day, I popped into one of my favourite shops that sells treasures from all over the world.  I quickly spied two boho maxi skirts from India and tried them on.  When I glanced at my reflection in the mirror, it was as if a time machine had taken me back 20 years!  Both skirts are very similar to ones I owned 20+ years ago!  Although my style has evolved as I've aged in many respects, my love for colourful and comfortable Indian cotton skirts has never waned!

    I completely understand and agree that some things stay with you throughout your life. As well as standards of behaviour, your inner dress loves don't go away completely. I love maxi skirts and the two you've chosen to wear are really lovely. I like them both. Flossie xxxx

    I know what you mean, aging and the passage of time is so strange. I think on the one hand how much I have changed and matured and of course out grown things like going out bars/clubs etc. but on the other hand, in some ways still the same person, your body ages and changes but you are still the 20 year old you remember...weird. But my style too has changed lol. Love these skirts they look great on you and I can see why you like this classic

    You're certainly rocking your Indian cotton boho skirts, Sasha, and I'm pleased to hear they've been an ongoing favourite for twenty years! I'm loving both skirts you're wearing here, and it would be virtually impossible to pick a favourite.     They are both such beautiful skirts and I love the second outfit with that necklace matching your skirt so well! I agree, some pieces, like maxi skirts, are timeless classics! :) i wear denim a lot less frequently than I did in my 20s because I have discovered the love of a good maxi skirt, haha!

    Love the two skirts Sasha. I totally understand how some things never change when it comes to style. I still love wearing dungarees...wore them lots when I was a kid.

Colourful Crop Cardis & Midi Skirts

Our internet is in and out at the moment, so while it's in , I'm going to go for it! The outfits I'm sharing with you today are quite different on the surface, as the colour schemes are dramatically different!  The first one has lots of autumnal colours and a bit of a 1970s vibe and the second one features more summery colours with a slight nautical vibe!  When I wore these outfits recently, I never thought they were similar at all, until I was going through my blog photos and realised both outfits were made up of colourful tees, cropped cardis and midi skirts!  So in that realisation, this post was born! My favourite outfit is the first one, because I haven't worn those colours much before and I was happy pairing these items together for the first time!  I like the second outfit as well, but I do wear blue and red together quite often.  Actually, it might be a good outfit for Australia Day, which is coming up soon! Burgundy & Beads!

Can you believe it is almost the end of February?  I am still getting used to it being 2019, and the second month is already almost over!  This is my last week to get everything sorted out before my postgraduate studies resume again next week.  I haven't even ordered my textbooks yet!  I really need to get organised!   In the outfit I'm sharing today, I'm wearing one of my fave maxi skirts that I've had for many, many years!  I've worn it with many different coloured tops over the years, but this was the first time wearing my new burgundy coloured top.  I love the burgundy and wine colours that are around at the moment.  They're so pretty!
