Playing Dress-up!
Hi Blog Friends! How are you? I hope you are all well and coping with the current crisis that the world is experiencing right now. My thoughts are with you and your families. My family are currently safe and healthy, adjusting to our temporary new lifestyle of staying at home all day, every day! I'm not complaining though, as I am just grateful that we are all well at this stage.
Not surprisingly, I have been spending a lot of time the last two weeks wearing my pajamas and what I call, "my stay-at-home-clothes"!. These are clothes that I do not even want to wear out to the letter box to get the mail, for fear of being seen! They will obviously, never make an appearance on the blog!! Therefore, I have decided to start playing dress-up at home and try out new outfit combinations and post them on my blog! These photos were both taken yesterday in my front yard. I admit I did feel a bit silly getting dressed up to go outside and then come straight back inside and get changed, but ultimately, it was fun and creative to try out new outfit combinations and get dressed up with a bit of lipstick! So, I will continue to play dress-up as much as I can while I am (stuck) at home!

It's pleasing to hear that you & your family are managing to stay well in the present circumstances. I really like your outfits even if you say are playing "dress ups". Amber looks lovely with her accessories & I'm pleased to see she is looking well. I would think she's spending her time mainly eating & sleeping!! Stay well, Flossie xxx

Good on you for playing dress-up, and no, you shouldn't feel silly at all. Dress-up therapy is the best. In fact, I can imagine not dressing up, even when I'm at home all day. Dressing up is definitely essential for me. I'll only be working 2 days for the foreseeable future, and I foresee my seasonal wardrobe changeover, lots of reading, and tidying home and garden. I won't be bored at all, even if I do miss normality quite a lot. Now, to your outfits, and my favourite, which beyond any doubt is the second one. That maxi skirt is a delight, as are the beads! Good to know that Amber has her priorities straight :-) Keep safe, lovely Sasha xxx
ReplyDeleteAh yes I can imagine that if would feel funny to get dressed up just to stay at home, but it helps to feel a bit more normal and plus you got photos!! Love these looks and the necklace is so fun. Glad you and your family are safe and well.

Love Amber's tips! Also I really like that second outfit!
ReplyDeleteI'm struggling with knowing what to wear at the moment - I'm getting dressed to walk the dog or go get groceries but nothing more exciting than that. I've started getting dressed on some of my at home days, but most of the time I'm in pyjamas or lounge wear I wouldn't go outside in either! The more I stay home the safer I feel I can keep my kids though so that's a good thing I can do - no matter what I wear! :)
Hope that your weekend is going well :) We are all staying home and staying safe.
