Hello Hummingbirds!

I was so happy to wear my hummingbird knit top on Friday for the first time this year!  I bought it last year and it fast became a firm wardrobe favourite.  It's quite a lightweight knit, so it can be worn by itself on days that aren't so cold, or layers can be added under it or over it!  

I really love the colours in it and of course, the adorable hummingbird motif!  I had several compliments about this knit from both the adults and kids where I volunteer on Fridays! 

I chose to pair it with one of the necklaces Mum bought me at a recent local craft market.  I love the shiny purple colour of this necklace and the fact that it is made locally by a very talented octogenarian!  Mum bought me four necklaces in total, so expect to see the other three very soon on me and if possible, mood permitting, on Amber too!!

Colourful Crop Cardis & Midi Skirts

Our internet is in and out at the moment, so while it's in , I'm going to go for it! The outfits I'm sharing with you today are quite different on the surface, as the colour schemes are dramatically different!  The first one has lots of autumnal colours and a bit of a 1970s vibe and the second one features more summery colours with a slight nautical vibe!  When I wore these outfits recently, I never thought they were similar at all, until I was going through my blog photos and realised both outfits were made up of colourful tees, cropped cardis and midi skirts!  So in that realisation, this post was born! Burgundy & Beads!

Can you believe it is almost the end of February?  I am still getting used to it being 2019, and the second month is already almost over!  This is my last week to get everything sorted out before my postgraduate studies resume again next week.  I haven't even ordered my textbooks yet!  I really need to get organised!   In the outfit I'm sharing today, I'm wearing one of my fave maxi skirts that I've had for many, many years!  I've worn it with many different coloured tops over the years, but this was the first time wearing my new burgundy coloured top.  I love the burgundy and wine colours that are around at the moment.  They're so pretty!
