Denim Days

On days when I'm not sure what to wear I grab my trusty jeans, a colourful top and then let my accessories do the rest.  Jeans are still somewhat of a novelty for me!  Even though jeans are a wardrobe staple for many, I am actually a relatively new convert to wearing them.  Before I was pregnant with my son, I always wore maxi skirts or colourful pants and rarely wore jeans at all.  During pregnancy I developed an umbilical hernia, which made wearing jeans incredibly uncomfortable!  

About a year and a half ago I had surgery to repair the hernia and after allowing time for it to heal, went shopping for a pair of jeans!  Last winter I wore jeans a lot, making up for lost time it seemed!  They were pretty comfortable, but sometimes the button at the top of the fly would poke my belly button and feel a bit sore.  Ouch!  I'm not someone who suffers for style! ;) 

At the beginning of winter last month, I bought the most comfortable jeans I've ever worn!  They don't have a fly or button, so no more digging in!  They have the pull on style of a jegging but the style and fit of jeans.  They are just so incredibly comfortable that I bought them in black too!  I never knew jeans could be this comfy to wear! I'm so glad I bought a pair in black too, and once they go on sale I might buy another blue pair too! I only wish they came in other colours like burgundy or khaki because I would definitely buy them too!

    Those jeans look so good on you! I love all the outfits as usual, but with the mustard jumper is my favourite! :) It's always so good when you find a style of jeans you love, and I definitely agree with snapping up more when you can! :)

    I'm pleased to hear you've found jeans that are comfortable and also look good. Jeans really suit you which makes the idea of jeans even more appealing. I tend to buy several of the same items of clothing in various colours when I find something I'm comfortable in.Flossie xxx

    Well welcome to the world of jeans. I use to work for Levis and I learned all about the history of jeans and they have come long way. Though I must say not always the most comfortable, I mean I would not wear them on a long flight. But they do make a great staple to base on outfit.

    You did a great job with these looks and love all your fun accessories!

    I'm pleased to hear you've found such a comfortable pair of jeans and I'm hearing you on buying multiples when you've stumbled upon the perfect item of clothing. I'd been looking for a retro style navy skirt and finally found one I loved years ago. I went back for another one, and they were on sale, so I bought one in green as well. Never regretted it as I'm still wearing them. I actually wore one of the skirts today! My favourite of your outfits is the one with the yellow jumper, Tucan bag and those wonderful earrings! Eclectic September!
