How do YOU manage stress?
Hi Blog Friends. Hope you're well. I've been under a lot of stress lately and it seemed to culminate in a cardiac event at work the other day. It wasn't a heart attack, thankfully, but it was absolutely terrifying. On top of the terror associated with rapid pulse, palpitations, chest pain, sweating, shaking and shortness of breath, it happened in front of my boss and co-workers, which was mortifying! I only work one day a week and of course it happened on that one day! An ambulance was called and I was carted off to hospital. It was my first ever ride in an ambulance. My nine year old son thinks that is so cool! I do not! It was an awful experience and a wake-up call to start managing my stress more effectively. That's where you guys come in!
This blog will always be mostly about fashion and style, but given health and well-being is important for every single one of us, I thought I'd ask for your advice. That way, we can learn from each other some practical tips to manage stress and enhance our wellbeing. After all, without our health, we can't enjoy fashion at all, right?! ;)

How scary! I am glad you are okay! it's easy for stress to build up - taking time to switch off and do something relaxing is so important! I love scented candles and Netflix and some good chocolate when it all just gets too much, haha!
ReplyDeleteHope you're having a good week and feeling much better!
Thanks so much, Mica! Chocolate and Netflix sound great to me! ;) XXX
DeleteHow scary that must have been. Sounds like a bit of an anxiety attack. I do hope you are feeling better now. I'd love to give you advise on how to manage stress, but I'm such a stress bunny myself. I've been under a lot of pressure lately and I know I'm not always coping with it very well. But there are some things which help me relax, one of them is reading. I can really lose myself in a book. A good rummage in a charity shop or at a flea market also works well. Or a good long nature walk. But lately my number one de-stresser is writing. I'm sure a cuddle with Amber in high on your list! Do take care of yourself, my lovely friend. Sending hugs from Belgium xxx
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Ann! They are some great ideas for us stress bunnies! ;) Thanks for the hugs, my lovely friend. Hugs to you, too! XXX
