Boho Pants: Part One

Image
Now that the cool change is here, I've started wearing more pants.  The cool weather is really just first thing in the morning and in the evening, as during the day is still quite warm.  The weather today was absolutely beautiful: blue sky and no wind!  Perfect! I've always liked boho prints and have added quite a few new pairs to my collection, including this red pair.  As well as the colour and print of these pants, I love that the fabric is sturdier than my cotton pants, so they are better suited to the cooler weather and won't split when I bend over!  I don't know about you, but that is a pretty important feature for clothing to have! Ha!  I'll be showing you some more new boho pants again in upcoming posts.  I hope that doesn't bore the pants off you!  Ha!  Sorry for the bad pun: I must have ants in my pants ! Ha! Sorry! No more smarty pants , I promise!  It's been a long and tedious day today, so I think I might actua...

Happy Mother's Day!

Image
Yay for the cool change!  Yesterday was cool and today it was even cooler!  I was so happy to be wearing a cardigan today, which means it won't be long until it's jumper weather, which is even more exciting!😉 It really was such a long and cruel summer for humans and nature alike, so the cool change is such a welcome one! I overheard some people at school complaining yesterday about the cold weather.  They were also the same people who complained about the heat every single day over summer.  I guess there's no pleasing some people!   The outfit: Top: Sussan Skirt: Robert Louis Cardigan: Suzanne Grae Shoes: Rivers Bag: Tasa Jara Spark The Owl Necklace by Erstwilder No Amber pics this post!  Instead, a photo of my jumping bean son photobombing my photo shoot!😂Oh! If only I had his energy!!  By the way, if you see Amber, please don't tell her that her brother was in my blog, instead of her!  If she f...

Print Mixing with Shades of Blue

Image
I'm fairly new to the world of blogging and even more so when it comes to the world of print mixing!  Up until recently, my go-to style was if I'm wearing a print on top I'd wear a solid colour on the bottom and vice versa.  Print mixing seemed like something only disorganised people with either zero interest in fashion would wear (think: just woke up & grabbing any clothes & heading out the door!) or at the opposite extreme, for fashionistas on the runway and in magazines! As an average gal, print mixing seemed out of my realm of competence!  Since I've been blogging though, I have become more open to trying new things and stepping out of my comfort zone.  I used to worry so much about what other people thought of what I was wearing and as such, didn't have the confidence to try new things or even to embrace my own style.  That's why I love blogging (& my blog buddies) so much, as even if I have an outfit fail, I can always try again in the ...

Hello Autumn!

Image
Well, it's finally starting to cool down!  It was such a long and hot summer and I was starting to think autumn would never arrive! The mornings and evenings are cool and the days are still quite warm, so it's still not really jumper weather, but it's definitely heading in that direction!   In celebration of the cool change, I chose to wear this tunic featuring autumnal colours.  I am also looking forward to wearing some of my many multi-coloured cardigans and jumpers soon!  The outfit: Tunic: Katies Leggings: Autograph Shoes: Rivers Ring: Lovisa Bracelet: Her Fashion Box Bag: Anne Klein Necklace: Belluna Japan Do I even need to ask who wore it best??  I know Amber wins every time!!😂 Thank you for visiting my blog! Green Day!

Image
As I've mentioned here on my blog, I've been wearing a lot of blue the last few months.  Another colour I've been gravitating towards in the last few weeks is green.  I've always loved the colour green: especially the darker shades like emerald green.  However, when I stumbled upon this green skirt rummaging through the racks at my fave store in Byron Bay, I fell in love!   I love this bright and fresh green colour.  It reminds me of a crisp granny smith apple!  I decided to go with a blue and green should definitely be seen theme with a touch of sparkle!  The outfit: Top: Suzanne Grae Skirt: Skallyrags Shoes: H & M Chunky Glitter Lightning Bolt Earrings: Tattooed Zombie Bangle: House of Harlow 1960 Bag: Olga Berg What colours have you been wearing a lot of recently?  Do you stick with the same colour palette or do you wear all the colours of the rainbow?  Let me know!  I'd love to...

Hidden Dragon!

Image
This dragon top was another hidden gem in my labyrinth of a wardrobe!  I bought this top about ten years ago and it still had its tags on it!  Can you believe that?  I don't know why, because I was born in the year of the dragon and have several accessories with dragons emblazoned on them! Whatever the reason, the other day was the perfect time for this dragon to make its debut!  I knew my striped shoes and red striped earrings would match perfectly, so then I added some more red accessories to complete the outfit! The outfit:  Top: Katies Skirt: Kmart Shoes: H & M Bag: Handbag Republic Necklace: Big W Ring: Diva Dragon close-up!
