Somewhere, over the rainbow....

After a stressful week, I felt like wearing something very bright and cheerful! The dress is sleeveless, so I added the black shrug/cardi to provide coverage.

My university study is stressful and I've thought of quitting several times already and it's only been a month!  It's hard not to be overwhelmed.  Wearing bright and colourful rainbow clothing and accessories is a good way to project an external image of fun and cheer.  Others then perceive you to be in a happy mood, so then you can fake it till you make it!!😉

The outfit:
Dress: Present from Mum (Hawaii)
Shrug/cardi: Crossroads
Shoes: Holster
Ring: Bold Ray Designs
Bag: Rockmans

Bangle: Bought at Op-shop a few weeks ago.  Isn't the pattern groovy?!😉

Somewhere, over the rainbow
Skies are blue
And the dreams that you dare to dream
Really do come true

  1. This colorful outfit really does bring out a cheerful vibe. You should show a photo without the shrug as I'm sure any thoughts of cover up are unnecessary. I do really like the outfit you have put together and hope that it helps make you feel happy.

  2. Good luck with the uni study! I know how hard it is, I do not enjoy studying at all so I was glad when my course was over, haha!

I like the idea of a bright outfit to cheer yourself up, I do that too! :)

Hope you are having a nice start to your week :)

  3. To be honest, I was so glad I was done studying, as it can be so stressful. I'm still dreaming sometimes that I have to sit exams ... Wishing you lots of luck with your studies. I'm of the opinion that the way you dress can be empowering, so please do continue to dress yourself happier! Loving the groovy op-shop bangle! xxx
