Hello Yellow!

Yellow is a colour that I've only started to appreciate in recent years.  Last year I bought several yellow accessories for the first time.  My first ever yellow purchase was this pair of shoes.  I loved them so much that I soon after bought a yellow necklace and bag!

The yellow t-shirt I'm wearing in this post is my first ever yellow clothing purchase!  I've always thought yellow wouldn't suit my complexion, but I loved the colour of this tee so much, that I didn't care!  I just knew that it would make me happy, and it has!

I decided to pair it with my blue/white/grey pants and grey kimono.  I also wore my recently thrifted yellow bangle too, which was fun!  Speaking of thrifting, I visited my parents over the weekend and thought I'd check out the op-shops in their area.  I took Mum with me and we explored three stores. We had so much fun!

At the first store, I bought the bag you can see in this post.  Isn't it cool?  I love the colours and shape of the bag and it has heaps of pockets, which I love.  I also love the detachable strap so that it can be carried or worn over the shoulder.  I also bought a skirt, which you'll be seeing soon!

Have you recently bought an item of clothing or accessory in a colour that you haven't worn before/ haven't worn much of?  Let me know!  I'd love to hear from you!

The outfit:
Top: Sussan
Kimono: Katies
Pants: Rockmans
Shoes: Rivers
Necklace: bought at pop-up store

Ring: Lovisa
Bangle & Bag: thrifted

  1. I think I've got most colours in my wardrobe, including yellow! Yellow most definitely suits you, Sasha. I loved that you paired it with grey. In fact, I love the whole outfit. My eyes keep being drawn to your yellow shoes. I'd love to have yellow shoes! I have one pair (vintage) but they're not the most comfortable, so I hardly wear them. Love the bag you found at the op-shop, and can't wait to see the skirt! Have a great week, Sasha! xxx

    1. Thanks so much, Ann! These yellow shoes were a great buy, because I don't often see yellow shoes at the shops (old or new)! ;) XXX

  2. Your yellow pieces all look so good together! :) I find yellow such a cheerful colour to wear too, I've really been embracing it recently. Green is the one I'm introducing most to my wardrobe though, I've been on a green buying binge which is interesting since I used to find it a really hard and tricky one to wear!

Hope that you had a great weekend! It was supposed to be a rainy one, but we managed to get out in between all the rain which was nice :)

  3. I'm glad you decided to give yellow your attention as this outfit really looks good on you. It's funny how we think a particular colour won't suit us & when you decide to give it a go, it turns out to be really flattering. That bag sure was a good find. Flossie xxx
