Tickled Pink!

It's amazing how just the addition of a new accessory can inspire new ideas for putting an outfit together, isn't it?  Earlier this week I bought this hot pink beaded necklace.  It's vibrancy and chunky style instantly appealed to me and I noticed it amongst a sea of necklaces, immediately!

My first thought was that it would look great against a sky blue background, so choosing the top was easy.  I then remembered my fun tie dye shoes and new they would complement the colours perfectly.  I was going to pair the top with jeans, but then I remembered these floral print pants.  I've worn them a lot lately, as I love the colours and print and they are so comfortable and durable to wear.  Then the final touches were made: a few more hot pink accessories and my (almost) vintage tie dye bag!

I've already thought of a few more outfits I can put together with this new necklace! Who knew $10 hot pink beads could inspire me to make the most of my current wardrobe even more?!

The outfit:
Top: Sussan
Pants: Rockmans
Shoes: Tie Dye Chocolaticas by Hot Chocolate Design

Ring: Lovisa
Bangle: present from Mum
Bag: I bought this bag in Amsterdam in 2001!

Necklace: Millers

  1. I'm wishing I'd seen your new pink necklace before you did as I love it and would have bought it myself, seeing pink is my all time favourite colour. You've paired it much better than I would have though. Flossie xxx

  2. One of your best outfits so far, I love the pink over that bold blue. I've been thinking of styling these two colours together for a while, and now I think I will. Thanks for sharing on #chicandstylish today. Jacqui Mummabstylish

  3. That is such a fun necklace! I love blue and pink together too, it's a great outfit combo and one I was wearing today, ha! :) I have a kind of similar beaded necklace but it's yellow, I really should get it out and try to wear it again! :)

Hope that you are having a good week :)

  4. I agree with Jacqui that this is the best styling of these trousers yet. I love the medley of pink and blue (your new necklace is divine) and the proportions are just spot on. I think pink is more your colour than Amber's, though ;-) xxx

  6. I really think a bold necklace is a lot of fun. The bright pink stands out and goes with those pants as well!
