The Best of Blue

Happy Monday to my blog friends!  I know it's only been a week since my last post, but it feels like it's been ages!  In my last post I told you about how my phone just suddenly stopped working and induced a mini-crisis!  

Well, I have a new phone now and its camera is supposed to be the same as the other one, but it actually takes really grainy and dark photos.  I took blog photos the other day and none of them were usable!  All of the colours looked faded and dull.  

My last phone didn't exactly take high resolution professional pics, but for a hobby blogger it did the trick.  Being unable to take blog pics this week has actually been quite hard!  I really enjoy the creative process and connecting with other bloggers.  So I have put my old phone in to be repaired so that hopefully once again I can blog using that camera and be able to retrieve all of my lost files and downloads.  Fingers crossed!

In the meantime, I thought I might do some "best of" posts.  These are all photos taken on the "good" phone camera but downloaded from Google photos on to the new "bad" phone, so even these ones are a bit blurry.  Sorry!  If my phone can't be repaired I will look into buying an actual camera I guess!  What do my blogger friends use to take blog photos?  I'd love to hear any recommendations about camera brands and how many mega pixels etc!  My old and new camera phone are both 16MP but the photo quality seems so different between the two.

I've been wearing a lot of blue lately, so I thought I'd share my favourite outfits where blue took centre stage.  It's fun to look back at all of the colour combinations that look good with blue, too!  Hopefully I'll be back to taking new photos soon with new outfit combinations!  Stay tuned! ;)

As you can imagine, Amber is not at all impressed that I haven't been able to take new photos of her, as she likes to always keep up with the latest styles and poses!  Haha!  Here's an oldie but a goodie to enjoy in the meantime!

    I'm trying to imagine how I would cope if my phone decided to stop working & I'm realising how you must feel. However what a lovely range of blue outfits. Once again I'm having difficulty in choosing & can I just say "I like them all". Flossie xxxx

    So sorry to hear of your phone troubles! I hope you manage to get your old one back! A round up post like this is a lovely way to continue blogging while you wait for it to get fixed. I'd suggest my camera to you but they don't even make it any more! It was the Sony Nex 5R but they have called the range the sony alpha cameras now and I have no idea which one from the range is equivalent!

    Fingers crossed your old one can be salvaged!

    Hope that you had a lovely weekend, phone issues aside!

    Sorry to hear about your ongoing phone troubles, Sasha. I really feel for you, as I'd be exactly the same as you: blogging is so important for me. I'm using a Canon DSLR, but there are quite a few good point and shoot cameras about as well. It would of course complicate blogging a bit, since your blogging is all being done with your phone. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they'll be able to fix your phone. It's a shame the camera on your new phone is no good ... Before I forget, my favourite blue outfit is the one with the unicorns! xxx

Colourful Crop Cardis & Midi Skirts

Our internet is in and out at the moment, so while it's in , I'm going to go for it! The outfits I'm sharing with you today are quite different on the surface, as the colour schemes are dramatically different!  The first one has lots of autumnal colours and a bit of a 1970s vibe and the second one features more summery colours with a slight nautical vibe!  When I wore these outfits recently, I never thought they were similar at all, until I was going through my blog photos and realised both outfits were made up of colourful tees, cropped cardis and midi skirts!  So in that realisation, this post was born! My favourite outfit is the first one, because I haven't worn those colours much before and I was happy pairing these items together for the first time!  I like the second outfit as well, but I do wear blue and red together quite often.  Actually, it might be a good outfit for Australia Day, which is coming up soon! Burgundy & Beads!

Can you believe it is almost the end of February?  I am still getting used to it being 2019, and the second month is already almost over!  This is my last week to get everything sorted out before my postgraduate studies resume again next week.  I haven't even ordered my textbooks yet!  I really need to get organised!   In the outfit I'm sharing today, I'm wearing one of my fave maxi skirts that I've had for many, many years!  I've worn it with many different coloured tops over the years, but this was the first time wearing my new burgundy coloured top.  I love the burgundy and wine colours that are around at the moment.  They're so pretty!
