Fun & Quirky Shoes!

I was at a lecture in May 2017, sitting in the front row waiting for the speaker to arrive.  Everyone was sitting in silence and waiting in anticipation for the lecture to begin.  None of us knew each other or what the speaker looked like.  It was a tense vibe with everyone not quite sure what to expect.  Then suddenly, in burst a young female professor wearing these:

From that moment on, I forgot all about the lecturer and what she was saying and just spent the next few hours wondering where she had bought those fabulous shoes!  At the end of the lecture she asked if we had any questions.  A few people asked some intelligent questions and I sat in silence thinking, I need to know where she got those shoes, but it's probably not the time to ask.  At the end of the lecture as she was packing up her materials, I went up and said, "I just have one more question....where did you get those gorgeous shoes?" Rather than looking at me like it was a completely irrelevant enquiry, her face lit up and she began gushing about her shoes!  It was then that I first learned of Hot Chocolate Design (HCD) shoes.  I don't clearly remember what the lecture was about that day, but I learnt a far more valuable lesson all about these fun and quirky shoes!!

I remember that the lecturer had warned me about how addictive these shoes are and that "Nobody ever stops at one pair!"  Turns out she was right!  I've already got eight pairs and I don't plan on stopping anytime soon!  Not only are these shoes fun and quirky, but they are really comfortable to wear.  Also, just as importantly, wearing them makes me so happy!  They are always a talking point and people smile when they see them!  Just in case you're wondering, this is not a sponsored post!  I wish it was (and so does my husband! Ha!).  I just really love these shoes and was excited to share my collection with you!  Enjoy!

  1. You have such a great collection! I agree, life is too short to wear boring shoes, haha! Although most of mine are quite boring neutrals! The only time I've been fixated on a piece and had to have it was a bag, I get that moment a lot with handbags, haha!

Hope that you are having a lovely weekend :) We had a noisy but fun kids birthday party today :)
