Can a leopard change its spots?
Leopard print has been around since (almost) the beginning of time. It is timeless and never goes out of style. It goes with everything and most people these days even consider it a neutral! Given all of this, can you believe this is the first leopard print item I've ever bought?? It's not that I don't like leopard print, in fact I think it looks great on other people! I just never thought it would suit me.
When I saw this snow leopard print top last week, I loved it and I knew it was coming home with me! Now that I have my first leopard print, I want more! I'm now on the hunt for some fun leopard print accessories!
So, it seems that a 41 year old leopard can change its sartorial spots! Here are two ways I've worn my new top in the past week:
Outfit 1:
Top: Harris Scarfe
Denim Skirt: Noni B
Shoes: Converse
Sunglasses: Jag
Bag: Sportsgirl
Ring: Diva
Bracelet: Mimco
Outfit 2:
Top: Harris Scarfe
Pink Denim: Millers
Necklace: Millers
Sunglasses: Dasoon
Bag: Rockmans
Ring: Equip
Bracelet: Lovisa
Shoes: Holster
I know it's been a while since Amber has appeared on the blog. Since I was wearing leopard print, I knew I had to pose with my own little wild cat! Isn't she beautiful?
It is great that you have found a leopard print top as it will match easily with skirts and trousers of all colours. I really like your coloured pants and they suit you very much. I was happy to see your "queen of the jungle" has emerged from beneath the air con.Flossie xx
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Flossie! XXX
DeleteSo sweet seeing Amber joining you for pics! :) I really like leopard print but have few clothing items in the print, I find accessories easier to wear. I am trying to mix things up a little and add more to my wardrobe though, like you said it's a fun print to wear once you give it a go! You look lovely in your new top. I like both outfits but the second is my favourite :)
ReplyDeleteHope that you are having a good week so far! So relieved the heatwave is over! :)

Thanks for your lovely comments, Mica! I'm happy to hear you liked the second outfit! My son said it was too bright and hurt his eyes! I told him to put his sunnies on!! ;) XXX
DeleteLeopard print can be quite addictive once you've fallen for it ;-) And of course, a leopard can always change his spots, regardless of his age. I had to turn 50 before I was able to wear what I'm now wearing. Love the leopard top with your pink trousers and accessories. But I do love the fishy earrings of your first outfit too! Glad to see Amber, although I am not sure she was feeling very comfortable being outside ;-) xxx
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for your lovely comments, Ann! The fishy earrings are fabulous, aren't they? ;) You're right that Miss Amber was not amused with going outside for a photo! I don't think I'll be doing that again! I'll just have to take photos of her indoors that will be dark but at least I'll keep Amber as an ally! ;) XXX
