Black, White & Neon Bright!

I'm not big on the neon trend or trends in general, for that matter!  I like to play around with colours and styles, but not because they are on trend, just because it's fun!  There have been a lot of neon bright accessories and items of clothing at stores lately and I have found myself drawn to them simply because I love wearing colourful outfits in recent times, neon or otherwise!

In the first outfit, the skirt and cardi are both new additions to my wardrobe.  I was first drawn to the black and white print of the skirt and the pops of neon running through it.  The cardi was then bought on sale and is a perfect match to the skirt!  

In real life the cardi and pops of colour in the skirt are more like a neon lime colour, but they photograph more neon yellow!  Either way, they are bright in real life and on camera! :)  I was also excited to discover that in my existing wardrobe, I had the perfect bag to match my ensemble.  Yay for more matchy-matchy! ;)

These rings were also a new purchase.  I love this range of costume jewellery!  They are all recreations of vintage jewellery from various eras.  So pretty!

COLOUR POP!!

With the same colour formula in mind, outfit 2 was created!  My sleeveless black and white tie dye striped dress is the perfect base.  I have worn it with every coloured cardi of the rainbow, so it was most definitely time to wear it with bright yellow!  This cardi is a new purchase that was heavily discounted.  I love these cardis because I get so many wears out of them for years and years and they add colour to every outfit!  

I decided to stick with the black and yellow theme and added matching accessories to complement the stripes in the dress and the colour yellow.  As I added my Honey shoes to my outfit, I realised I had a bit of a bee vibe happening, but that's fine with me.  You know I love a good theme! ;)  I actually bought a bee ring the other day that will be perfect for this outfit if I wear it again!

    I love yellow - it's such a cheerful colour to wear !I think both outfits are great but you know I love a bit of matchy-matchy too! :)

    Like you, I do not follow trends, especially not colour trends, although I'm always glad when my favourite colours turn out to be on trend and are all over the shops! The last time I wore neon colours was when I was a punk back in the early 80s! I am, however, very much in love with the print of that skirt, and even more so with that fabulous necklace! This is beyond a doubt my favourite of your two outfits! And how fortunate that you had this bag in your wardrobe! Wishing you a lovely week, Sasha! xxx

Eclectic September!
