Winter Brights

Well, winter has arrived in Brisbane!  This week we had a few cold and windy days, so it was definitely time to get out the jeans and jumpers!  I have lots of cardigans and jackets, but not many jumpers.  On windy days, nothing beats a jumper to keep the cold out.  There are lots of colourful and fun chunky knits around at the moment, so the other day I spied this one and bought it.  It was originally $60 and was reduced to $20, which was a great deal.  I love the colours and the zipper detailing.  I also love that it's bright and fun, which is a nice alternative to all the greys and black around at this time of year!

Outfit 1:
Jumper: Rockmans
Jeans: Suzanne Grae

Frida Cat Brooch: Blossom and Cat
I thought Frida the Cat would be the purrfect accessory for this jumper.  Isn't she sweet?

Earrings: Lovisa
These earrings are a new purchase.  I love the colours and style and I think they complement this jumper nicely!

Ring: Chakra
Bag: Colette Hayman
This was my go-to bag over summer.  Perfect for hot summer days and equally vibrant for cold and windy winter days!

Outfit 2:
Top: Sussan
Jacket: Millers
Pants: Rockmans
After looking at the photos of this outfit, I made the horrifying realisation that it kind of looks like I'm not wearing anything under my jacket!  Eeeeek!  Trust me, I was wearing a pale lilac t-shirt underneath, but due to the lighting you can hardly see it!  I showed my 8 year old this photo to see what he thought, as you know you're always going to get an honest opinion from a kid!  He said that it looked like I wasn't wearing anything under the jacket and that my blog friends might faint when they see it!!  Hahaha!

We'll, hopefully you're still with me and didn't faint afterall!

Sammy the Smart Sloth Brooch: Erstwilder
Sammy's back!  It's been a while since I have worn Sammy, but as always, he is such a fun brooch to wear!  Nobody can see Sammy and not smile!  He has a way of brightening up even the gloomiest of days.

Earrings: Lovisa

Bag: present from Mum (Thailand)

  1. What a great deal on that fun striped knit - perfect for winter! :)

I really like that magenta outfit too - even if it did make me do a double take with the pastel top underneath looking a bit like skin tone, haha!

Hope that you are having a great weekend! We had our son's birthday party today and it was loud but fun :)

  3. First of all, to put your mind at rest: I did not faint ;-) Had a good chuckle at your 8 year old's comment, though. Cheeky but cute! My favourite is your first outfit, as I totally love that jumper and the way you accessorized it. The Tucan bag, Frida the cat and those divine earrings are all perfect with it. Have a most wonderful weekend, Sasha! xxx

  4. I'm pleased that you have added colour to your Winter outfits as when the weather is bleak a nice bright outfit lifts the mood. I must admit your son certainly must be a bit of a character as I didn't think you would not wear a tshirt under your jacket in winter, ha.ha. Flossie xxx
