Dress as a skirt & brooch as a necklace!

This has been such a busy week!  My two university classes went really well and I am excited to be studying again, learning new things and meeting new people.  Thank you so much to you, my blog friends, for your kind words of encouragement.  I really appreciate it!

Today's outfit is a dress that I wore as a skirt.  When I saw it on the hanger at the store, I just assumed it was a shirred waist skirt. When I got home, I noticed that the tag said it was actually a sleeveless dress!  Wearing it as a dress looked absolutely ridiculous on me, but I was happy with wearing it as a skirt!

The skirt dress or is it the dress skirt?!😂

The outfit:
Top: Sussan
Dress/Skirt: Mix Clothing
Shoes: Gino Ventori

In the spirit of converting things, I decided to wear my brooch as a necklace!

Beaded Necklace: Rockmans

Bracelet: Rockmans
Ring: Present from Mum
Ann Klein Bag: Present from Mum

This is the new bag Mum bought me in Hawaii.  I love the lion key ring attached to one of the handles.

Do you ever wear clothing or accessories in a way that is different to it's intended use? Let me know! I'd love to hear from you!

  1. What a great idea to wear the "dress" as a skirt! So much better! Frankly speaking, I think a dress like that would look ridiculous on most people ... Wearing that fabulous brooch as a necklace is another great idea, Sasha. I'm loving your new handbag too. Your Mum really has the best taste. Aren't you a lucky girl? And look at Amber's serious face ;-) xxx

  2. Great idea, for me I often wear dresses as long tops because as dresses they are way to short. And love the "necklace" too cute.

    1. Thanks so much, Allie! That's a great idea: some dresses are just way too short, aren't they?! ;) XXX

  3. I too have bought what I thought was a skirt and it turned out to really be a dress. However, like you, I've worn them as skirts. Besides if worn as a dress, they would have been too short for me. I do like the different pattern in the dress/skirt. Also nice brooch and gorgeous handbag. Hawaii, you said. Guess I'll have to go there to check out the handbags!!!
