Styling my new koi brooch

When I saw the Japan inspired brooch collection at Erstwilder, it was hard to resist buying them all!  I already own a few others and I just could not resist this one! The colours of this koi (carp) brooch in real life are just so beautiful: a true work of art.

I studied Japanese language and culture at university and lived in Japan for two years. Living in Japan was an amazing experience and Japan will always be my second home.

I try to visit Japan as often as I can to catch up with friends, practise my language skills, go shopping and eat authentic Japanese cuisine!

  1. I really, really love that koi brooch. It is so Japanese and I, too, like to visit Japan on a regular basis but I can't say I've ever seen anything so lovely as that when visiting there. I'm sure if you wear it when you next visit Japan you will get lots of comments on how lovely it is.

  2. Gorgeous brooch, and I'm also really drawn to that skirt and bracelet - you have a good eye for pattern, Sasha!
