Styling stripes

I don't really wear stripes. I know they are a so called "fashion staple", but I've never really liked wearing them. I've recently become brooch obsessed and surprisingly fell in love with this striped kitty brooch at first sight!

It then got me thinking about what I could wear it with. After a thorough inspection of my wardrobe contents, I discovered the perfect skirt to match with my new kitty brooch!

I wasn't sure which colour top to pair it with but I thought I'd try something new: pale blue. I think the colours work well together.

    I really love your kitty brooch. I did notice, however, it isn't in the colours of your muse who seems to be missing in the latest photos. Those shoes certainly are a wow factor!!!

Colourful Crop Cardis & Midi Skirts

Our internet is in and out at the moment, so while it's in , I'm going to go for it! The outfits I'm sharing with you today are quite different on the surface, as the colour schemes are dramatically different!  The first one has lots of autumnal colours and a bit of a 1970s vibe and the second one features more summery colours with a slight nautical vibe!  When I wore these outfits recently, I never thought they were similar at all, until I was going through my blog photos and realised both outfits were made up of colourful tees, cropped cardis and midi skirts!  So in that realisation, this post was born! My favourite outfit is the first one, because I haven't worn those colours much before and I was happy pairing these items together for the first time!  I like the second outfit as well, but I do wear blue and red together quite often.  Actually, it might be a good outfit for Australia Day, which is coming up soon! Burgundy & Beads!

Can you believe it is almost the end of February?  I am still getting used to it being 2019, and the second month is already almost over!  This is my last week to get everything sorted out before my postgraduate studies resume again next week.  I haven't even ordered my textbooks yet!  I really need to get organised!   In the outfit I'm sharing today, I'm wearing one of my fave maxi skirts that I've had for many, many years!  I've worn it with many different coloured tops over the years, but this was the first time wearing my new burgundy coloured top.  I love the burgundy and wine colours that are around at the moment.  They're so pretty!
