Yellow and grey & skirt from Byron Bay!

Today I wore my new skirt from Byron Bay for the first time with success! "Success" means the skirt was comfortable, fit well and I enjoyed wearing it!

Wearing a unique skirt like this, that can only be bought at one store (Skallyrags, Byron Bay) is a great feeling. I know that it's unlikely that I will see anyone at my local shops wearing the same thing!! That is actually something that I dread.

I remember way back in 2001 when I was in London, I walked into the entrance of a hotel to go and check-in and I saw another Aussie woman wearing the same top as me! I promptly turned around, dragged my suitcase and left immediately! All to avoid running into someone wearing the same top!! I remember waiting in a nearby park for ages, until the "coast was clear"!!

Although I still have a bit of a "thing" about not wanting to come face to face with someone wearing the same thing as me, I think I'd just laugh if it happened now, rather than hide!! Or I'd try and be witty by saying something like "I love your outfit! You've got great taste in clothes!"😉

    Hi Sasha. I've been looking at your blog for sometime but never commented until now. I bought a lovely jacket to wear on a formal night on a cruise of the Pacific and on the first night at dinner, sitting at the same table was my jacket. I complimented the lady on her choice of jacket but as soon as dinner was finished, I returned to my Cabin and immediately place my jacket back in the suitcase.

Colourful Crop Cardis & Midi Skirts

Our internet is in and out at the moment, so while it's in , I'm going to go for it! The outfits I'm sharing with you today are quite different on the surface, as the colour schemes are dramatically different!  The first one has lots of autumnal colours and a bit of a 1970s vibe and the second one features more summery colours with a slight nautical vibe!  When I wore these outfits recently, I never thought they were similar at all, until I was going through my blog photos and realised both outfits were made up of colourful tees, cropped cardis and midi skirts!  So in that realisation, this post was born! Burgundy & Beads!

Can you believe it is almost the end of February?  I am still getting used to it being 2019, and the second month is already almost over!  This is my last week to get everything sorted out before my postgraduate studies resume again next week.  I haven't even ordered my textbooks yet!  I really need to get organised!   In the outfit I'm sharing today, I'm wearing one of my fave maxi skirts that I've had for many, many years!  I've worn it with many different coloured tops over the years, but this was the first time wearing my new burgundy coloured top.  I love the burgundy and wine colours that are around at the moment.  They're so pretty!
